Femoral Shaft Nonunion Cause Analysis And Related Treatment

Objective: To investigate the influencing factors and treatment of femoral shaftfractures do not heal after.Methods: In this study, cases from the orthopedic ward of Shandong TraditionalChinese Medicine University Hospital since July2009to July2011were femoral shaftfractures do not heal after surgery,23patients, were retrospectively analyzed thesummary of the femoral shaft nonunion factors according to the patients and non-healingtype of internal fixation for individualized treatment, treatment, replacement of internalfixation and autogenous iliac bone graft, another co-infection to give a flush drainage.Assessment of therapeutic effect evaluation method Illizarov Methods and ResearchSociety on bone healing and functional recovery after the second surgery.Results: All23patients,22cases were one-time cure to achieve bony union,complete bone healing time of six to eight months, with an average of6.8months.Conclusion: Iatrogenic factors (poor fractures, bone defects, improper fixationmaterials selection, infection, did not give a bone graft), and their own factors (type offracture, and early weight-bearing activities excessive), and stress factors of femoral shaftfractures three main reasons for not healing, the second surgery to replace the reliablefixation and autogenous iliac bone graft, co-infection were given drainage technique iseffective.
