Objective:To compare the short-term clinical effects of hemiarthroplasty, dynamic HipScrew(DHS)and proximal anatomical plate in treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in theelderly.Methods:60cases of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture, admitted fromJune2008and June2010,were treated randomly with one of the3metheds.20cases withhemiarthroplasty,20cases were stabilized with DHS, and20cases proximal anatomicalplate. After operation, regular anti-inflam matory therapy was conducted for5days,thehealing process of the fhe fracture and the function of the hip was followed up regular byradiography and Harris hip score respectively.Result:.1. Complication: DHS group occurred in2cases, proximal anatomical plate2patients, hemiarthroplasty1patients. No bed-related complications in hemiarthroplasty.2. Harris hip score:the hip function result of hemiarthroplasty groups were superior tothose in another2groups one month after operation(p <0.05).The hip functional result wasno statically significant6months after operation(p>0.05).Conclusion:Hemiarthroplasty is an effective method for the treating intertrochantericfracture, and better than that by DHS and proximal anatomical plate in early stage. There isno obvious different in long-term among the three methods.
