Traditional Chinese Medicine Study On Tourette Sydrome’s Symptoms And Pulse Characteirstics

Objective:To study the characteristics of Tourette sydrome’s symptoms and pulse under the guidance of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Method:120patients who fulfilled the criteria of this study, were asked to fill up the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) and a form of TS’s clinical symptoms (based on Traditional Chinese Medicine’s terms). Collecting information related to the establishment of database, Frequency of symptoms was calculated. syndrom factor analyse was used to reach a decision.Result:(1)The higher frequency of tic symptoms in turn were:eyes blinking,throat clearing,shoulder shrugging,voice.top five of the ten no-tic symptoms were psychiatric symptoms:tinid,susceptibility of fright,susceptibility of anger.behind5were physical symptoms:night sweats,asitia,red of pharynx,abdominal pain and dry stool.(2) the characteristic type of pulse were on the left hand:the higher frequency of pulse were:thready pulse,stringy pulse,Uneven pulse and deep pulse.(3)The distribution of syndrom factor were liver was the highest disease position,the higher frequency of syndrom factor on virtual properties of disease were yin virtual and blood virtua.The real syndrom factor were heat,wind,wet and phlegm.Conclusion:(1) The Tourette Sydrome occurred in many parts of the body in different ways. Besides tic symptoms, psychiatric symptoms were prominent.(2) the characteristics of TS’pluse were on left handand deep position,the shape of pluse was gracile,powerful but not fluent.(4) Syndrome differentiation suitable for Tourette sydrome need to be study in-depth.
