Objective: To investigate the rules of herbal administration in navel therapy ofLeukorrhagia.Methods:61herbal formulas in previous literatures were collected and catalogued soas to build a database with Microsoft Excel, in which the function of data filtering wasused to analyze the types, high frequency as well as property and flavor of herbs.Results: The top twenty herbs, each of which was used more than10times, wereChinese angelica,cassia, Chinese cinnamon, boswellin, Prepared Common Monkshood,Chinese Angelica, common fennel fruit, Cochinchina Momordica Seed, myrrha,cloves,dried ginger, Chinese atractylodes, Amur Corktree Bark, Atractylodesmacrocephala, faeces of flying squirrel, Chinese Foxglove, Common Cnidium Fruit,Pricklyash Peel, safflower, DriedGinger, Coptis chinensis franch, Szechwan ChinaberryFruit,Achyranthes bidentata,corydalis tuber, Realgar.Conclusion:①The most common administration is to combine the herbs that areused for tonifing deficiency, warming the interior as well as eliminating stasis.②Chineseangelica is the most frequently used herb in navel therapy of Leukorrhagia.③The acrid,bitter and sweet flavors are apparently more frequent than others occurring in prescriptions,where the acrid flavor is an absolute majority.④The channel distributions of herbs innavel therapy of Leukorrhagia mainly include the spleen, liver and stomch meridians.
