Objectives By evaluating the caring ability and the purpose of life of the clinical nurse in Changsha City and exploring the human care training courses’effects to verify the effectiveness of this intervention. Methods This study was a randomized controlled quasi-experimental study.104clinical nurse were selected from the Second Xiangya Hospital, Tumor Hospital of Hunan Province, Invalides of Hunan Province. They were randomly assigned to the intervention group (52cases) and control group (54cases). The intervention group received human care training courses for20hours while the control group received no treatment. Before and after the intervention, the caring ability and the purpose of life of the two groups were evaluated, to analyze the effect of the human care training courses.Results1. The results of one-way ANOVE showed that:Among all of the general condition, age, length of service and with or without service were significantly related to CAI; Among all of the general condition, age, length of service, ethnicity, marital status, department, and with or without service were significantly related to PIL.2. By two-independent samples t-test, the score of CAI were not significantly different before intervention(P>0.05); the score of Knowing-CAI, Courage-PIL and Patience-CAI were significantly different(the score of control group was lower) after intervention(P<0.05), and the difference had statistical meaning.3. By paired t-test, the score of CAI of control group were not significantly different before and after intervention (P>0.05); the CAI score of intervention group were significantly different before and after intervention(P<0.05), the score after intervention were higher, and the difference had statistical meaning.4. By paired t-test, the score of CAI of control group were not significantly different before and after intervention (P>0.05); the score of Knowing-CAI and Patience-CAI of intervention group were significantly different before and after intervention (P<0.05), the score before intervention were lower, and the difference had statistical meaning. 5. By two-independent samples t-test, the score of Quality of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL were not significantly different (the score of intervention group was lower) before intervention(P>0.05),and the score of Value of Life-PIL and Free of Life-PIL were also not significantly different (the score of control group was lower) before intervention(P>0.05); the score of Quality of Life-PIL, Value of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL were significantly different(the score of control group was lower) after intervention(P<0.05).6. By paired t-test, the score of PIL of control group were not significantly different before and after intervention (P>0.05); the PIL score of intervention group were significantly different before and after intervention(P<0.05), the score after intervention were higher, and the difference had statistical meaning.7. By paired t-test, the score of PIL of control group before and after intervention were not significantly different(P>0.05); the score of Quality of Life-PIL, Value of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL of intervention group before and after intervention were significantly different(P<0.05), the score after intervention were higher, and the difference had statistical meaning.8. The repeated measures analysis of variance showed that the main effects of time on Knowing-CAI, Patience-CAI, Quality of Life-PIL, Value of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL were significant (P<0.05), in other words, scores of Knowing-CAI, Patience-CAI, Quality of Life-PIL, Value of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL were significantly different with the change of time without considering the intervention level; The main effects of intervention on Knowing-CAI, Courage-CAI and Goal of Life-PIL were significant (P<0.05), in other words, scores of Knowing-CAI, Courage-CAI and Goal of Life-PIL were significantly different with the change of the intervention level without considering time; There were significant interactions between time and intervention on Knowing-CAI, Patience-CAI, Quality of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL.Conclusion1. The human care training courses could improve the caring ability of clinical nurses and the effect on Konwing-CAI and Patience-CAI were significant.2. The human care training courses could promote the purpose of life of clinical nurses and the effect on Quality of Life-PIL Value of Life-PIL and Goal of Life-PIL were significant were significant.3. Compared to foreign countries, the caring ability of clinical nurses in our country is lower. There is need measures to improve the situation.
