With constant development of acupuncture medical industry,qualified number ofacupuncturist is needed more and more.However, training excellent acupuncturis is verycomplicated,mainly because of the esoteric theory. Also,because of low efficiency of methodof traditional medical training,not only development of acupuncture is embarrassed, but alsothe trainers have been brought to troubles. So developing a natural and easy training way isneeded,which is very necessary.In this paper, the disadvantages of traditional training method are analyzed, and then thetechnology about virtual acupuncturist training system based on data glove is researched.Also the simulation environment.of a virtual teaching and training of acupuncture isestablished.Fisrtly,in this paper,a suitable modeling method is selected by comparing several graphicrendering technology. modeling method based on three-dimensional graphic is used,whenneeding some simple objects and more interaction behaviors. modeling method based onimage is used,when needing some complex objects and less interaction behaviors.Throughthinking about the advantages of two methods, modeling method based on graphic and imageis selected.By the modeling method digital virtual three-dimensional models of virtual peopleand hand are studied and completed. In the enviroment,framing tranform,lighting andtextures are studied by reality graphic rendering method.Secondly, In order to achieve an accurate grasp of the dynamic information of the virtualhand,digital devices are selected.Data glove is used to get real-time information of the actionof hand.6-DOF motion tracker is used to get space information of the hand. According to theprinciple of dynamic control of the virtual hand, real and virtual coordinate system is matchedgreatlyby graph transformation.So, the dynamic mapping from hand to virtual hand isfinished.Thirdly,a suitable collision detection algorithm is selected by comparing severalcommon collision detection algorithm. Axsi-Aligned Bouunding Box method may influencethe result because of bad airtight. Fixed Dierction Hull method may lower the efficiencybecause of large computation. Orienetd Boundnig Box method is selected because of goodairtight and small computation. Finally,through the study of establish ways of the data glove and position trackernode,some new function nodes are designed in the software platform-EON Studio by javascripting language.The new function nodes, dvhandcontrol node, handadjust node,andheadposadjust node,are used to establish the comunication between external equipment andsoftware platform.Through the new training way, not only the disadvantages of traditional training methodis overcome, but also immersion sense is enhanced, and training effect and interesting isimproved more and more at the same time.
