Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the positive rate of asthmatic children with inhalation allergen by skin pinch test and the main inhalation allergen in the region of ZunYi.It also aims to observe and evaluate the clinical effect and security of applying standard house dust mite desensitization treatment to asthmatic children.Methods:439patients (including294males and145females) were chosen, who were made definite diagnosis as children asthma during remission stage in pediatric outpatient department of the affiliated hospital of Zun Yi Medical College from the May of2010to the March of2012.In0-3years group, there were192cases including136males and56females; in3-6years group, there were144cases including93males and51females; in6-14years group, there were103cases including70males and33females.11standard inhalation allergens liquor (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus,Dermatophagoides farinae,Blomia tropicalis,Canis familiaris,Felis domestieus,Artemisia Vulgaris,Blattella germanica,Neurospora,Ambrosia artemisifolia,Timothy,Birches) were used for skin prick test (provided by danish ALK-ABELLO corporation),positive Control histamine whose concentration was0.01mg/ml, negative control normal saline. Meanwhile189cases that were diagnosed chronic cough (called cough group for short below) also were under skin prick test, as control group. To compare its positive rate of skin prick test between the three age bracket respectively and then to compare the positive rate of skin prick test in asthma group to that in cough group.42of439cases had received standard house dust mite desensitization. Frequencies of asthma attacks per year and peak expiratory flow before therapy were compared to those after therapy. And the therapeutic effectiveness and side effects of desensitization were also evaluated.Results:In439asthmatic children,the positive rate of skin prick test was35.8%and the positive rate of house dust mite was72.6%.The positive rate of skin prick test in the three age groups was respectively23.1%、40.3%and53.4%and correspondingly the positive rate of house dust mite in the three age groups was respectively72.7%、67.2%and78.2%. There existed statistic difference in positive rate of skin prick test between the group of6-14years and the group of0-3years (P<0.001),the same to that of between the two group of6-14years and the group of0-3years; There existed statistic difference in positive rate of skin prick test between the group of6-14years and the group of3-6years (P<0.05);The positive rate of skin prick test in the cough group was21.7%,and the positive rate of house dust mite was41.7%,which was both lower as compare with those in asthma group (P<0.001).After one year’s desensitization, there existed statistic difference on peak expiratory flow among42cases between after and before therapy (P<0.001);The same to frequencies of asthma attacks per year before therapy and after therapy(P<0.01).957person-times was counted in the42cases,and local side effects of365Cases were found compared to general side effects of8cases.Conclusion:Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus was the most common inhalation allergen in the region of Zunyi.Asthmatic children gets much higher PEF and the clinical symptom was obviously improved,which suggested that house dust mite desensitization had sound effects and its incidences of side effects is low, which was worth popularizing clinically.
