| Objective To observe the Clinical effect of the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium and traditional small splint for distal radius fractures, and explore the advantages of the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium on treatment of distal radius fractures, which provide a new external fixation methods for clinical treatment of distal radius fractures.Methods:Under the random, contrast and single-blind research method,65cases who conform to the standard were randomly divided into two groups:The therapy group(the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium group with32cases) and the control group(traditional small splint group with33cases).To evaluate the weighted tolal scores of swelling,pressure sores,VAS pain, before treatment and after treatment,and the number of adjusting small splint within15days after treatment,after treatment30,45days callus and Gardland and Werley wrist function scores,as well as long-term clinical efficacy.Result:The weighted tolal scores with the swelling before treatment and after treatment3ã€7ã€30ã€45days were statistically significant (P<0.01),in group and between the two groups,and the swelling of treatment group after treatment3 days to fter treatment7days obviously relieve (P<0.01) and the swelling of control group from after treatment7days to fter treatment30days significantly reduced (P<0.01);Pressure sores of treatment group occur0cases and pressure sores of control group occur5cases,in which fluctuation of pressure sores in control group from before treatment to after treatment3days and from after treatment3days to after treatment7days were were significant (P<0.05);The scores of pain before treatment and after treatment3ã€7ã€30days were statistically significant (P<0.01),in two groups,and the pain of treatment group before treatment to fter treatment3days obviously relieve (P<0.01) and the pain of control group from after treatment3days to fter treatment7days significantly reduced (P<0.05);The number of adjusting small splint within15days after treatment were statistically significant (P<0.01) between two groups;The scores of callus after treatment30,45days were not statistically significant (P>0.05) between two groups;The scores of Gardland and Werley wrist function after treatment30,45days were statistically significant (P<0.05) between two groups;After treatment30,45days,the clinical effect in the treatment group (93.5%,90.3%) and the control group(96.8%,93.5%) were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusions:(1) Both methods with the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium or the traditional small splin had effect on treatment of distal Radius Fractures, especially for treatment with the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium,and the short-term effect with the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium are better than traditional small splint, worthy of further promotion and application;(2) Contrasted with the traditional small splint, the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium is better to ameliorate the clinical symptoms of early swelling,pressure sores,pain and cut down the number of adjusting small splint,is beneficial to the functional recovery of wrist of fractures. Forward formation of callus and long-term clinical effect were not significant difference between the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium and the traditional small splint;(3) Compared with the traditional small splint,the small splint of Mechanical equilibrium is better to improve the overall quality of life in patients with distal radial fractures and is a effective and safe the external fixator of fracture. |
