| Objective: To investigate the relationship between the nature of neck carotidultrasound plaques and ischemic cerebrovascular disease through assessing carotidultrasound in the old people(>45years) who had attended in the physical examinationMethods: Retrospectively analyze215cases of the patients in the neurology wardof jilin university China-Japanese union hospital south lake campus department fromJune2012to December2012.113cases of cerebral infarction and8cases ofrecurrent TIA were taken as the cerebrovascular disease group, and94cases ofpatients with no ischemic cerebrovascular disease were taken as the control group. Allcases underwent CT and MRI scan. The index of the carotid ultrasound included neckatherosclerosis nature, distribution, number, shape and echo characteristics.Results:(1)The detection rate of instable plaque was82.6%in the cerebrovasculardisease group and56.4%in the control group. The former was significantly higherthan the latter(p <0.01).(2) Plaque detection number of cerebrovascular diseasegroup was obviously higher than that of the control group patients, with carotid arterycrotch plaques are particularly (p <0.05).(3) Cerebrovascular group is given priorityto type I and type IV instability plaque, control group is given priority to typeⅡ andtypeⅢ stability plaques (p <0.01).(4) The cerebrovascular disease group werehigher than that in the The control group in high blood pressure, diabetes, blood lipidlevels and smoking history levels.(p <0.05).(5) The unstable plaque group werehigher than the stable plaque group in age, smoking, high blood pressure, diabeteslevels.(p <0.05).(6) According to the results of univariate analysis, put the significantfactors into binary logistic regression analysis, the stability of carotid plaque mainlyrelated to Smoking history and hypertension medical history. Conclusion:(1)There is a relationship between the neck instable plaque and theischemic cerebrovascular disease. The neck carotid ultrasound provided an importantbasis for the early screening and prevention.(2) The history of smoking andhypertension is associated with instability carotid artery plaque formation. |
