The Clinical Observation On Treating Acne Vulgaris By The Combination Of Acupuncture And Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM-type: Wind And Heat In Lung)

Objective:To observe the clinic effect of treating the common acne(TCMtype:wind-heat in Lung) by acuptuncture and Pipa Qingfei decoc-tion.Methods:We have selected60acne cases in dermatological department ofWuhan hospital of TCM from August2012to October2012,which wererandom divided into two groups.30cases were treated by acuptunctureand Pipa Qingfei decoction.Other30cases were only treated by PipaQingfei decoction.We had4weeks clinical obse-rvation,which everytwo weeks we would have an evaluation.After the test,all the clinicaltrial data is entered into the compu-ter,which is statistically analyzedwith SPSS13.0for windows.Results:1.Total efficiency comparison：In two weeks after the trea-tment,combination of acupuncture with herbs group total22cases hadmarked effect, accounted for73.34%, which was higher than Chinesemedicine group,who total18cases had marked effect and accountedfor60%,but the difference was statisti-cally significant(P＞0.05).Afterfour weeks of the treatment, combination of acupuncture with herbsgroup total27cases had marked effect, accounted for90%, which was higher than Chinese medicine group,who total25cases had markedeffect and accounted for83.33%,and the difference was statisticallysignificant(P＜0.05).2.Comparative effectiveness of different severity of acne：Afterfour weeks of the treatment, combination of acupuncture with herbsgroup had a good curative effect for all types of acne, and the totalefficiency were all higher than Chinese medicine group,who had agood curative effect only for I and Ⅱ of ance.But with the statisticallyanalyzed, the difference was statistically significant(P＞0.05).3.campare with symptoms of skin lesions improved:Two groups ofpatients after treatment,the overall skin symptoms have obviouslyimproved than before.After two weeks and four weeks, the difference ofsymptoms of skin lesions improved was statisticallysignificant(t=2.0546，P＜0.05; t=2.2807P＜0.05). Combination ofacupuncture with medicine group improve symptoms of skin lesions issuperior to the traditional Chinese medicine group.Conclusion:Two ways can both effectively trest the Acne Vulgaris(wind and heatin Lung),while the acuptuncture and Pipa Qingfei decoction group ismore effective in signifigant treat rate.
