Expression And Clinical Significance Of B7-H1, Ki67and Tumor Associated Macrophages In Gastric Adenocarcinoma

Objective: To study the expression and clinical significance of B7-H1, Ki67and tumor associated macrophages (CD68+) in gastricadenocarcinoma.Methods: The expression of B7-H1, Ki67and tumor associated macrophageswere detected by immunohistochemistry (SP method) in100casesof gastric adenocarcinoma tissues; statistics analyzed therelationship between the expression of B7-H1, Ki67, tumorassociated macrophages and clinicopathological features;investigated the effect of B7-H1and Ki67on tumor associatedtumor associated macrophages in gastric adenocarcinoma tissues.Results: the results showed B7-H1protein was found in65of100cases ofpatients with gastric adenocarcinoma, of which31cases appearedexpression of nuclear; the expression of B7-H1protein waspositively correlated to lymph node metastasis, pathological stagingand survival time (P<0.05), and had no correlation with patient’ssex, age, histological type and the invasion depth (P>0.05).Ki67was expression in nuclear, the positive rates were68%; Ki67waspositively correlated to patient’s age, pathological staging (P<0.05),and had no correlation with patient’s sex, histological type, invasiondepth and lymph node metastasis (P>0.05). tumor associatedmacrophages expressed in gastric adenocarcinoma patients and showed oval, satellites or spindle-shaped, the expression of tumorassociated macrophages were positively correlated to lymph nodemetastasis (P<0.05), had no correlation to patient’s sex, age,histological type, invasion depth, pathological staging and patientsurvival time (P>0.05).The expression of B7-H1and Ki67werepositive correlation in gastric adenocarcinoma, the coefficient:r=0.645, P=0.000. B7-H1and Ki67affected tumor associatedmacrophages; compared with negative expression of B7-H1, tumorassociated macrophages in B7-H1strong expression patients weresignificantly high increasing, the difference was statisticallysignificant (P<0.05); compared with Ki67negative expression,tumor associated macrophages in Ki67moderate and strongexpression patients were also significantly high increasing, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion: The high expression of B7-H1and Ki67in gastricadenocarcinoma may be correlated with gastric adenocarcinomametastasis and prognosis; the expression of B7-H1and Ki67arepositive correlation in gastric adenocarcinoma, both of their highexpression can up-regulate tumor associated macrophages.
