| Objective: To discuss the method, results and clinical value oflaparoscopic myomectomy in treatment of large submucous myomas. Methods: Retrospective cohort study of54patients by hysteroscopicmyomectomy and41patients by laparoscopic myomectomy performed at ourhospital between Jan.2008and Mar.2012(size of myoma≥30mm). Theduration of operationã€bleeding volumeã€the average of hospitalization days, the time of bowel function recurrence were compared. Results: Total95operations were successful, with no postoperativecomplications or fatality. The statistical discrepancy in bleeding amount andoperation time exists between different size of submucous myomas.Meanwhile, there were no significant differences between the two groups inoperation time and bleeding amount(P>0.05. Hysteroscopic group weresuperior to laparoscopic group in passage of gas by anusã€the averageof hospitalization days(P<0.05).Conclusion: Based on our results, laparoscopic myomectomy is a safe, accurate and highly-efficient procedure in the treatment of large submucousmyomas. It can be performed by experienced surgeons irrespective of the sizeor depth of the myoma, thus worth to be popularized in clinical treatment. |
