More and more people applaud it.However, clinical trialdata from many years indicated that they were relatively safe and selective for cancer, buttherapeutic potency was limited after both direct intratumoral but the effect of anti-tumor did notreach the expected results. Because the vector systems of gene therapy can neither specifictransfection all tumor cells nor can the therapeutic gene efficient expression in the tumor in thehuman body. Recombinant vaccinia virushas deleted TK can selectively replicate with in and lyse cancer cells, so the purpose gene can bepreferably expression in the local of tumor. Thus the Vaccinia virus is an ideal gene therapy vectorin gene therapy of cancer and will have a promissing prospects in cancer gene.MnSOD is a novel tumor suppressor gene, can prevent normal cells canceration, inhibit thegrowth of tumor, and enhance tumor cells apoptosis, it is a novel and effective gene for cancertherapy.In thisr Study Effect of Anticancer by MnSOD Gene-armed oncolytic Poxvirus whichmanganese superoxide dismutase MnSOD gene insert into TK gene of vaccinia virus in vitro.the results showed that the MnSOD gene-armed oncolytic Poxvirus OncoPox-MnSOD and controlvirus OncoPox-EGFP have significantly killing effect on cancer cel and no toxicity to normal cells. Western blot analysis showed that MnSOD can effective expression and induced apoptosis after theOncoPox-MnSOD infected cells.
