Thedrug application dose is different from ancient times to the present because of differentsystem of weights and measures. So dose is a focus of controversy. In this paper I researchaconite’s usageã€doseã€decoction methodã€processing and other aspects in the book ofTreatise on Febrile Diseases edited by ZhangZhongJing. The study has guidingsignificance in clinical application of the dose convert and the usage of large dose ofaconite.The study indicates the importance of the dose-effect relationship by summarizing andanalyzing the classical prescription aconite dosage and processing, compatibility. It isnecessary to clarify the aconite’s dose-law in classic prescription. I summarize aconite’susageã€dosageã€decoction method and dosage unit by collecting ancient and modernliterature of aconite.I systematically analyzed historical evolution of aconite’s processingand dosage, research status at home and abroad. Ancient physician use aconite to cureemergency and severe cases on the basis of pathogen〠pathogenesis’ etc. Curative effectsare particularly significant. The paper generalizes the aconite’s dose-effect relationship thatprovides literature foundation for future researchApplying aconite lies dose. By studying the application of aconite in prescription,Weknow that aconite’s l dose is from15g to20~30g.About the dose of concocted aconite,itis from15g to45g. in decoction,15g to90g.in pill,7.8g to300g in powder. The purposeof processing aconite is reducing toxicity and increasing efficacy. Boiling methodsshould follow prescription.The law of aconite application in the book of Treatise on Febrile Diseases hasdirective function to our clinical drug usage. Now we use aconite according to the patient’sageã€physiqueã€state of an illness and aconite’s processing methods.
