Since the reform and opening up policy carried out by the last century, the east has beengradually affected by west, and China’s clothing design has also been affected by the westerndesign concepts, presenting a wholesale westernization design thought, and abandoningChinese traditional culture. It is not until the recent years when "Chinese wind" is popular,Chinese designers begin to realize the charm of Chinese traditional culture and the importanceto improve the cultural deposits of the clothing brand. Chinese traditional culture thendeserves attention and reputation in the fashion.Jade culture is an important part of the traditional Chinese culture and has been unique inthe various world’s arts. Studying on the Early-Qin dynasty jade decoration is a significantaspect for understanding profound Chinese traditional jade culture. It has done some attemptsto make deep research on the style and cutural deposits of jade and then provides more spacefor innovation and recreation. We should establish costume brand which is adaptive to the eraneeds and embodies Chinese traditional culture’s gorgeous connotation, and form a vastclothing system with unique style. Through this project, we aim to figure out the method forjade decoration’s combination with the modern female clothing. Meanwhile, we hope toprovide people with more references for the Early-Qin dynasty jade, and then makededication to inheritance and publicity of China’s jade culture.This project initially has done a longitudinal analysis on evolutionary process of shapeand decorative pattern, craft, cultural connotation of jade in Early-Qin dynasty as to get acomprehensive understanding through various illustrations. On the basis of those above, weconduct systematic approach to the value of the Early-Qin jade decoration and extend itsspiritual culture connotation, so that the application of clothing would not stagnate on theoutside form but preach the inside spirit. Secondly, we discuss the feasibility and value of theEarly-Qin jade decoration class merging into the modern female clothing design. Accordingto the characteristics of jade decoration, we summarize several application forms andtechnique. Combined with the modern design ideas and design methods, we contribute tomake modern female clothing design get access to international fashion with less loss ofChinese traditional culture by taking the essence and throwing away the dregs, and exquisite merge though the perfect use of changes in color, modeling, material and craft. Finally, wemake innovational combination of the Early-Qin jade decoration and clothing on the basis ofpractice.Clothing design sourcing from Early-Qin jade decoration can not only strengthen thecultural connotation of clothing brand, but also enhance identification of local clothing cultureand be beneficial for inheritance and publicity of Early-Qin jade culture.
