Comprehensive development of man in Marx’s theory is the destination andpractical objective of Marxist theory. To research into comprehensive developmentof man in Marx’s theory, at the theoretical level, not only contributes to furthercomprehension of the scientific connotation of comprehensive development of manin Marx’s theory, prefect and enrich humanism theory and historical materialism, butalso contributes to reflection and introspection on the significance in philosophyeducation of comprehensive development of man in Marx’s theory. At the actuallevel, the significance in philosophy education of comprehensive development ofman in Marx’s theory could be used to instruct people coping with actual troubles inpractice, to promote the scientific development of philosophy education.Except for foreword and conclusion, the paper’s body text comprise of threeparts.The first section explores the evolving path of comprehensive development ofman in Marx’s theory. In the perspective of the theory’s own development nodalpoints, in his "On the Jewish Question" and "<Hegel’s Philosophy of Criticism>Introduction", Marx put forward the theory on human liberation, this is the buddingstage of comprehensive development of man in Marx’s theory; in his" Economic andPhilosophical Manuscripts of1844", Marx suggests eliminating the alienated laborof human, this is the initially proposed stage of comprehensive development of manin Marx’s theory; in his" The German Ideology", Marx clearly defined the concept of“comprehensive development of human”, this is the scientific definition stage ofcomprehensive development of man in Marx’s theory; in his "Economic Manuscriptof1857-1858"and "Das Kapital", Marx revealed the three historical forms of humandevelopment, this is the system perfection stage of comprehensive development ofman in Marx’s theory. In his classic works, Marx gradually revealed anddemonstrated the scientific connotation and essence of comprehensive developmentof man in Marx’s theory.The second section explores the basic components of comprehensivedevelopment of man in Marx’s theory. By means of analyzing Marx’s classical works,we can know that, comprehensive development of man in theory he elaborated, iscomprised of comprehensive development of man’s ability, comprehensivedevelopment of man’s social relation, comprehensive development of man’s need,comprehensive development of man’s personality; in order to realize comprehensive development of man, three approaches, namely developing the productivity,establishing and perfecting the new public ownership, combing the education andproductive labor, should be taken; also the dual unity of time and space, the historicalunity of ideal and reality, the organic unity of individual development and man’sdevelopment, the harmonious unity of individual development and societydevelopment, should be maintained; the historical perspective of law on developmentof human society, the perspective of value on supreme ideal of human societydevelopment, the perspective of reality on social work practice’s objective being,should be taken into consideration as well.The third section explores the significance of comprehensive development ofman in Marx’s theory in philosophy education. As promoting comprehensivedevelopment of man being the fundamental value orientation of philosophyeducation, the philosophy educational significance of comprehensive development ofman in Marx’s theory is that, focusing comprehensive development of man onphilosophy educational ideals, advocating lifestyle education on philosophyeducation text, adhering to the teaching method which emphasize the unity ofphilosophy nature and man’s development on philosophy educational pattern.
