This study adopted a qualitative study which conducted self-designed questionnaire, SCL-90 self-rating description scale and(FAD). 1280 undergraduates from Shenyang Aerospace University participated in this study. The study analyzed and discussed the relationship and factors between family function and undergraduate mental health on the basis of the theory and the demonstration. The evidence suggests that:1. A majority of undergraduates are with mental sub-health. It reflects in several aspects, which mainly are sensitive in communication, obsession and compulsion. And it also involved in depressive illness, anxiety and intolerance, etc.The source of stress, recourse and personality mostly affected by their parents.2. Undergraduates with symptoms have highly score in FAD than those without symptoms. The result showed that the family function has the direct influence the undergraduates mental health.3. The family functions have the relevance with the undergraduates mental health on many aspects, especially in their problem solving, communication, roles and emotions.4. Parents with different education and incomes are both caused the distinction in problem solving, communication, roles and emotions of the family function.5. The family function influenced the undergraduates on family structure, communication with family members; parents mental health, education, incomes and educational mode; personal mental health, self-control and acceptation to parents, etc.6. From the point of view optimizing the social environment, enhancing the family environment, improving family education and parents mental health, the study tried to complete the family function.
