Game is not just a supplementary method for teaching. The more important is that,using Scaffolding Instruction, teacher could set up scaffoldings by playing games to help students master the knowledge and skills of Chinese. This paper introduces the basicinformation (like definition, characteristic and classification) and practical application ofclassroom game in Chinese teaching for foreigners, and how to implement it. The main research method of this thesis includes literature methodology, case study, experimental research and etc.The selection method for case study can be divided into three types: classroom games with warm-up function, classroom games with drew-out-new-course function and classroom games with practice function. In accordance with the preceding three chapters, the analysis basis covers the features of classroom games, the matters that need attention in practice, the steps of implementing scaffolding instruction, the features of scaffolding instruction, and the basic teaching principles of constructivism. Lastly, on the basis of the theoretical outlines and case analysis in previous chapters, the author design and implement a classroom game named“find your friend”for Chinese phonetic teaching, and then evaluate the implementing effects and furtherly make modification on this game.
