A Study About Verbs Synonyms In Yi Jian Zhi

The subject investigated in this paper is the verbs with the same or similar meaning. On the basis of the previous research findings on the synonymys, guided by theories on synonymys judgment and discrimination in Huang Jingui’s The Differentiate and Analyzethe about the Synonymys in Ancient Chinese Language, the paper tries to sum up and show the features of the synonymous verbs in Yi Jian Zhi, While, we have choosed three groups of representative synonymous verbs, and studied them in details, displayed the differences among the similarities of these words beyond synchronic category. The whole paper is made up of four parts, and it divided into five chapters:Part One(also Chapter One),Introduction:In this part, it begins with the the history and status of the study on synonyms in ancient Chinese language.Then introducing Yi Jian Zhi and its research status together with the brief introduction of why selecting this topic and meaning.after then,it briefly introduces the theories and methods employed in this thesis.Part Two (include Chapter Two, Three and Four), Mainbody:The main points of Chapter Two summarized the synonymous verbs in Yi Jian Zhi, and sort out a table of Synonymous Verbs in Yi Jian Zhi, At the same time, classified the synonymous verbs in Yi Jian Zhi according to their constitutions so as to show the features of synonymous verbs in this book. Chapter Three has chosen three groups of synonymous verbs which had not been differentiated and analysised fully yet in the educational circles. Chapter Four Finds some compilation problems of Hanyu Dacidian from Yi Jian Zhi Verbs Synonyms. mainly investigate from two aspects:"establish meanings" and"advance documentary evidence"Part Three(also Chapter Five), Conclusion:This part summarized all the researches the paper has made, the fields which would still be study more, and the characteristics of studies about the synonyms in the same book.Part Four, Appendix. Its includes the disyllabic words and phrases which constituted by the single syllable synonymous verbs.The main innovation points of this paper include:The first, the paper has studied all the synonymous verbs in Yi Jian Zhi and finally gotten421pairs of synonymous verbs, and classified them according to their structures. It is the first time to do such research in the educational circles.And the second, the paper has did the detail study on the three groups of synonymous verbs, they are“蹴、踶、踢”“刺、揕、剚、鍼”“授、调、除、拜、封”,and have shown the differences among them. This study has filled the differentiation practices gap in the educational circles, and completed the results we have gotten already.The weak points of this research include:First, the paper didn’t classify the synonymous verbs according to the phonetic and the meaning aspects and this brought to a shortcoming in showing a of synonymous verbs in Yi Jian Zhi.Second, because of the shortages of writer’s knowledge and time, the paper didn’t do a detailed case study on more synonymous verbs, and didn’t study the cases which choosed in this paper on time period.And the shortcomings of the paper which have mentioned above are not comprehensive, there must be more omissions that I didn’t mention, hope that all the readers and researchers could share your opinions generously.
