| With the obvious development of the economic integration, international activities have risen gradually. Correspondingly, the business English has been widely used and becomes more and more effective than before. Therefore, there will be an urgent need of the business people who have a great ability in business English with high quality. With the increase demands of business English talents in China, business English teaching will have a larger development.The developed countries pay a great attention to the business English teaching. In their view, the ESBP is a branch of the ESP. Almost every university has the ESBP courses. In the Britain and the USA, the broadcast companies broadcast the programs about the business English teaching every day. There are lots of business English training schools in English speaking country, no matter big or small. Business English teaching is also developing at an amazing speed in China. The establishment of International Commission of Business English is a significant event in the development of ESBP in China.But in China, the quality of business English teaching is still very low and also lack of characteristics. The suitable teaching design hasn’t been made for the trainees. The main characteristics of the business English is specialization, oral and target-oriented. Being practical is its most important characteristic. The aim of business English teaching is not only to improve the English proficiency of the students, but also to give them the western enterprise management philosophy, tell them how to deal with and cooperate with foreigners and enable them to understand foreigners’work methods and living habits. Therefore, business English teaching needs to be flexible according to the different needs of learners.The ability to reinvent itself and adapt to changing times has ensured business English to train qualified talents who meet the demands of21st century.Under the background of the global situation, the guidance of theoretical knowledge, and the analysis of the trainees needs, we get the demands of the trainees. Then according to the needs of business knowledge, we also add the basic business knowledge and background knowledge. On the basis of needs analysis, I design this course for ESBP. I hope it will be useful for the trainers and the trainees. |
