Xi’xiang Tune is a folk opera which is originated from Dachuandu Village in Baiyin City, Gansu Province. With hundreds years’history, the folk opera has been written and finished by Zhang Hairun as first-degree scholar worked during Imperial Academy periods. The main content in Xi’xiang Tune comes from the Chinese Classical Literature-Romance of West Chamber written by Wang Shipu. The Tune is impressive and sincere, which displays the longing for love from the young’s as well as the honesty and sincerity characters reflected in laboring people; and displays the rich inward world and personalities of characters in the story with the help all kinds of instruments. The birthplace of the Tune is Imperial Academy, and its has certain abundant values in history, literature, academic and society due to its cradle has formed in areas along the Yellow Rive, rooted in folk civilians. However, with the process of modernization, the original characters in The Tone couldn’t be focused and loved anymore. In addition, the singers who can use this folk tone to sing became less and less, and the aging for artists became increased, without successors, This art will be failed to hand down from pass generations. In this thesis, the author has made researches on its strategies of inheritance conservation in terms of its history, content characters, values exploring. The thesis consists of five parts, Ⅰ. History and Distribution of Xi’xiang Tune; Ⅱ. Basic Contents and Characters of Xi’xiang Tune; Ⅲ.Important Value Research of Xi’xiang Tune; Ⅳ. Research on Inheritance Reservation; Ⅴ.Conclusion.
