An Exploration Of The Art Of The Movie "If You Are The One"’s Humorous Lines

2011, Chinese film box office exceeded13billion yuan, Among them, the commercial movie doing to become the main force to boost box office. The end of2008, commercial film "If You Are The One" directed by Feng Xiaogang released only in one month, it’s box office exceeded325million yuan. Why do Feng Xiaogang’s New Year comedy so attracted the attention of the audience? Film "If You Are The One" is how to create a box office miracle? This article will find the answers from the movie lines of "If You Are The One".The beginning of this paper describes the achievements of director Feng Xiaogang and Lunar New Year comedy " If You Are The One ", and the research of the film lines of this film, then proposed the idea of this study. In the first part, the paper also briefly discussed the connotation of humor, and humorous language’s generation principles. The author puts forward three basic characteristics for humor:discordant form of expression, it’s interesting and funny content, and meaningful essence. And pointed out that the humorous language usually generated by six ways:exaggeration, dialects, abnormal collocation, use or to create new words and buzzwords, precise and skillful use of language, to create an error deliberately. These six forms of language can make the language works more humor, and receive better effect of language expression.The second part is the main part of this article, from the three basic levels of linguistics, that is, phonetics, semantics, and grammar, to analysis the humorous language of the movie lines, and classified its generation principle, generated humorous effects, and the overall effect of the film, in order to offer some inspiration on the lines creation of the comedy movie.At the voice level, this essay first discusses the film speaking Beijing and Sichuan dialects as the representative of dialect humor, including the characteristics of the dialect voice, then show the examples in the lines of "If You Are The One", and elaborates the principle of laughter generation. Secondly, it also briefly discusses the lines that appear in other types of language variation and its humor generation principle.In the vocabulary level, it mainly concludes three aspects, they are clever use of the phraseology, newborn words used, and the integrated use of a variety of vocabulary. Including the lines used in the different Sayings’s type, such as idioms, locutions and sayings, etc.; in the part of the use of new words, including newborn words, new words and language, and social buzzwords such as; the integrated use of a variety of vocabulary containing the vocabulary of different languages as well as the vocabulary of different stylistic.In the syntactical level, this paper discusses how does the film lines use the omitted means in the syntactic transformation, the extraordinary match, and paralleled class of complex sentence, to generate humorous effect.Through the expressions of language discussed above, the movie "If You Are The One," succeeded in reaching the desired humorous effect by using the actors’ lines, greatly boosting the film’s box office results. This article is hoped that through the analysis of the language of humor in the film lines, understand the principle of generation of humorous language, and it’s viewing results, in order to inspire the creation of works of comic language.
