The real corpora has a wide range of topics varied, which is useful for the free choice of teaching materials. Furthermore, the target language teaching environment provided by the real language teaching can help learners to feel overwhelmed existence of target language and target language culture, can help learners to arouse learning interests, and can help learners to improve communication ability. Teaching with real corpora can help learners immersed in the target language learning, and it plays a very significant role for learners who have Chinese as a second language, especially for foreign students study in China. This article try to apply Chinese style dishes, one of real corpora, to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, to help Chinese as a second language learners familiar with Chinese food, understand Chinese food culture, and to improve learner’s ability to adapt to the culture and intercultural communication competence.Based on the study of awareness and demand for Chinese style dishes among foreign students learned Chinese, it make clear the significance and necessity of Chinese style dishes as real language for classroom teaching first. Then, analyses the realistic aspects and the cultural aspects of the Chinese style dishes in classification. Based on the classification, this article discuss cultural connotation of Chinese dishes further. Finally, this article in second language teaching theory (communication language teaching, cultural adaption hypothesis, and language input hypothesis) for support, on the basis of investigation and analysis of the cultural interpretation of Chinese dishes as real corpora, try to explore teaching ideas of Chinese style dishes as real corpora in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Teaching ideas cover four ideas, mainly are the import, teaching environment, multimedia teaching and teaching project.Due to real corpora at home and abroad teaching research is rare applied into Chinese as a second language of teaching, and inquire as one of Chinese dishes of real corpora in classroom teaching is the application of blank. Therefore, this article is only a kind of teaching exploration.
