The Analysis Of Literature Cases About Women Short-term Mating Under The View Of Evolutionary Psychology

Mate choice behavior is the important behavior of the species continuity, it takes an important place in our life. The researches on that from the evolutionary psychology perspective which is based on Darwin’s sexual selection theory and Robert Trivers’ parental investment theory.The short-term mating as part of the human double mating strategy has a deep evolutionary heritage. The Love, marriage and module independence theory concludes that the short-term mating is the follower of marriage. Due to the differences in parental investment, compared to men, women get greater risks and smaller returns.The methods that we used to research the female short-term mating are theoretical, phenomenological and empirical method. We have used speculative method on human mate choice for a long time, it always leads others in theories; The empirical method has been used to research human’s overt behavior that can be direct observed and measured; Phenomenological research fills the shortage of empirical method, it makes the whole people as the object in study. It is more suited to explore the integrity and deviation of individual behavior in the female short-term mating.Literature is the product of the human spirit, reflecting the timeless and universal nature of mankind. The women’s short-term mating choice is a theme of human nature, having a fine and complete description in the literature.In this paper, we make the theory of evolutionary psychology about women’s short-term mating as the keynote, and make female extramarital described in Western classic literature as the case, Combine the phenomenological method, then analyze the inevitability of women’s short-term mating by the nature of the heroine, upbringing, personality formation, and the failure of her husband’s mate-retention tactics. Finally, we analyze the cost of women’s short-term mating. We verify that the short-term mating theory in evolutionary psychology are right, at the same time, we opened up a new method to study short-term mating. Now the quo of female extramarital affairs is rising. We want to give more care to the women, and made some contribution to the harmonious of marriage.
