The Analysis And Study On Popular Music Adapted For Chorus Works By Liu Xiaoyang

This paper selects the senior cantor,"passionate" command family named Liu Xiaoyang teacher and his work for the study, which is mainly based on the extremely important contribution made by Liu Xiaoyang teacher who have pop songs adapted for choral works since the1960s and1970s. The concise arranger practices used in his works and the highly skilled creation have a very important position in the Chinese choral music.This paper has four chapters. The first chapter is a briefly introduction on Liu Xiaoyang’s life experience, creative style and the factor of style forming. Besides, it also has detailed the classification according to the form, content and the adaptation time of choral works of Mr. Liu and discussed the status and influence of his work. The second chapter mainly researched his works about adaptation of thinking, adaptation techniques and commanding style. The third chapter has a comprehensive exposition of the status quo of Chinese pop music and the revelation of choral works adapted from Liu Xiaoyang adaptation of popular music.The forth chapter mainly researched the specific analysis and artistic treatment of Liu’s work as an example. By analysising and researching the adaptation of the popular music and the choral works of art characteristics specific of Liu’s works, we can not only make a more comprehensive, detailed and profound understanding of its artistic charm, but also accurately understand and grasp of the works, which indeed provide us the guidance in choral teaching, artistic creation and rehearsal choral repertoire in the theory and practice.
