| Tang Yun Series Strategy was written during the period of Emperor Daoguang in Qing DynastyQing Dynasty, with the specific time unknown. Its author is PangDakun from Changshu (now Changshu County, Jiangsu Province) according to the History of Qing Dynasty. He once observed:"To understand the ancient sound, we must get familiar with the Tang Yun, then its sound can be grasped." Taking corpus of the ShuoWen of DaXu cited the Tangyun sound of SunMian, the ZhuanYunPu of XiaoXu cited the QieYun sound of LiZhou as well in the arrangement of Yun,it forms volume1of pro forma,volume5of the Tang Yun Series Strategy. From a style point of view, the book is arranged in accordance with206rhymes of the GuangYun,with the homonyms grouped together forming a co-injection fanqie. From the perspective of its material selection, the book is mainly based on the ShuoWen of DaXu; it also refers to ZhuanYunPu, GuangYun, JiYun and so on. Previous scholars have argued that the Tang Yun Series of PangDakun targets at restoring its original appearance of the Tang Yun through DaXu fanqie, but for the lengthy and jumbled materials of Rhyme books presented, it is difficult to obtain the end, and thus rare people have attempted to probe into a in-depth research of the book. Through a tantative analyses of the book, we believe that instead of restoring Tang Yun original appearance, its purpose is to explore the Yun of the Tang Dynasty and confer with the reading sound system of the Tang and Five Dynasties and Song on the main basis of the DaXu fanqie, and employing other Yun books fanqie; therefore, from this point, the book is worthy of our in-depth study. This paper penetrates a comparatively systematic analysis on the articulatory phonology reflected by Jilue. Under the general guidance of comparative principle of tangential mode, method of link of fanqie associated with statistical method, it first makes a comparison of similarities and differences between Series Strategy and the DaXu and XiaoXu sound. And then by way of Statistics and mode of link of up and down characters’fanqie in the book, the tone and rhyme inventories will be summarized and discussed. We will see the emergence of consonant table and vowel table based on the above. Additionally, The paper attempts to explore the foundation of voice and Phonological features it reflects. The whole thesis consists of nine parts. |
