The paper has conducted census on Thai junior high school Chinese textbooks. The census is divided into two batches:the first batch was overall survey among the school teachers about the situation of the school Chinese education. The second batch was questionaires which has been revised for teachers’ feedback. The questionnaires include sub-item surveys against the text, new words, practice, Chinese characters, culture and other aspects of the teaching materials as well as the overall evaluation for advantages and disadvantages of the teaching materialsAccording to the first batch of questionnaires, the paper selected3textbooks,"Experiencing Chinese"(体验汉语),"KaiKai Chinese"(开开汉语),"Chinese"(中文).as survey objects."Experiencing Chinese" is written by Hanban for Thailand junior high school students. KaiKai Chinese is Hanban Chinese textbook written specifically for the Thai primary school students,"Chinese" is the Chinese textbook written by the Thai Catholic Church as a Foreign Language textbooks for the students’ Chinese language teaching of the Catholic schools in Thailand. The three materials’ writting purpose、style and objects are different, they all have their unique strengths in teaching, and get certainty from teachers and students, but also have their own teaching hindered.In the beginning of this writing. the paper analyzes the situation of the Chinese universal eduction in thailand and usage of Chinese teaching materials.Based on that.the paper introducts the reason and purpose for teachers to choose teaching materials. students’ learning motivation, habits and attitudes. And then combined with Thailand’s unique educational background. the actual teaching experiences of the Chinese teachers and Chinese as a foreign language textbook writing theory, through a questionnaire survey of school teachers and students, the paper analyzes the3textbooks in differents angles and parts.and ultimately,give the textbook a more in-depth investigation and assessment.Through comprehensive analysis of theory, practice, and the data.the paper tries to point out both the advantages and disadvantages of the textbooks.hopes to be referencial valuabele to the upcoming revision which makes the textbook more perfect. but also hope to be able to be helpful for overseas Chinese teachers in the selection of textbooks and compiling teaching materials.
