| Affective teaching is an important part of teaching process; it not only attaches importance to impart knowledge and skills, but also pays special attention to students’ attitude and emotional needs in the process of teaching, so as to promote students’ overall development as well as improving their comprehensive qualities.At present, the higher vocational college English class is still in a "teacher-centered" mode, teacher occupies most of the time, the only link between teachers and students in communication is knowledge, it lacks of affective communication and affective factors permeate, as a result, class gets into a lifeless state, students’participation in the classroom is not so active and they lose their enthusiasm to learn English. In the attempt to improve the present "heavy cognitive, light emotional" situation, affective teaching put forward some corresponding teaching theories in terms of "concerning students’emotional needs" teaching activity. Teachers should regard students as individuals who are affection-need but not only have the demand of cognition, it advocates teachers pay much more attention to students’affective factors.This paper, based on affective teaching, combined with theory research and investigation research, and aided by a questionnaire that investigated400students’ affect status in Changsha Social Work Vocational College, Hunan Technology Vocational College, Hunan Communication Polytechnic, Hunan Mechanical&Electrical Polytechnic, which found that most students have affective problems in English learning.In this article, the author, starting from the application status of affective factors in higher vocational English teaching, using emotional relevant teaching theory, analyzes the necessity and importance of affection teaching and puts forward some suggestions to optimize the teaching results of higher vocational English classroom teaching.It is divided into five parts to explore the application of English effective teaching in higher vocational college teaching. The first chapter covers the research background, purpose, significance, research thoughts and methods of this thesis Chapter two is the literature review, some related concept about effective teaching is defined, and introduces its theoretical basis and research dynamic of effective teaching at home and abroad, Chapter three deals with the questionnaire, analyzes its investigation datum and discuss the investigating results. The fourth chapter puts forward some corresponding optimization of higher vocational college English teaching countermeasures in view of the investigation results. The fifth chapter summarizes the main conclusion in this research and the limitations of it. |
