The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced2010Nobel Prize for literature awarding to Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa, in recognition of his" mapping-like depiction of the power structural and refined description of individual resistance" on October7,2010.As one of the chief writers of Latin American literary explosion which started in the60years of the last century, Mario Vargas Llosa wrote numerous books, which are worthy analyzing. However, the existing available information shows that the domestic research on Llosa’s works is not comprehensive, and the information from the point of narrative to analyze the narrative spatiotemporal mechanisms of Vargas Llosa’s novels is even fewer. This paper is dedicated to using modern narrative theory to analyze the narrative spatiotemporal mechanisms of Vargas Llosa’s novels, in order to add he research information on Llosa’s works. On the chapter of narrative time mechanism, this paper studies three aspects of chronological order, duration and frequency t, and synthesizes scholars’research results, and focuses on the analysis of chronological order of Llosa’s novels, then draws a new narrative time stereoscopic structural map called Chronological Disorder Stereoscopic Structure. Chronological order includes reverse chronological order and non-chronological order, and reverse chronological order expresses as flashbacks and flashforwards. Non-chronological order is a kind of writing style including dynamic and static narrative time, and it can be divided into three forms:massive, burst and the picture. The first two can be regarded as dynamic narrative time, and the last static narrative time. In the Chronological Disorder Stereoscopic Structure, the twist of the timeline and time duration and frequency are inseparable. In Llosa’s novels, the most common duration forms are Acceleration, constant speed and deceleration. The narrative frequency in Llosa’s novels is also different, sometimes the narration is detailed and sometimes slightly, which forms apparent rhythms timing density. In the narrative process of Llosa’s novels, the different length of duration and the repeated frequency of the narration lead to uneven time narrative to swing. In his narrative time stereoscopic structure, the swing is apparent, and the timeline twists ahead back and forth, rather than straights forward. When all the timelines arrived at the end of the narration, they form as a pyramid vertex, and this is double-focus time narrative mode of Llosa’s novels. Elliptical double-focus time narrative gathers together and sublimates, then tends to Llosa’s ultimate significance of pursuit for writing. On the chapter of narrative spatial mechanism, this paper is not to use " Cubism " invented by previous scholars to define the spatial narrative features of Llosa’s works, but synthesizes Llosa’s narrative theory to analyze. In general, his spatial narrative can be divided into two kinds:text-structural space and perspective-construction space. Text-structure space includes "Chinese box" and" connecting pipe". They are mentioned in the letter to a young novelist written by Llosa. Perspective-construction space is caused by character conversion to show the mental space. At the same time, the paper also discusses the non-indirection conversion between the realistic space and psychological consciousness space of Llosa’s novels. The last chapter will make the narrative time mechanism and the narrative spatial mechanism as a whole in Llosa’s novels. In modern fiction, the authors would like to make time and space the narrative time mechanism and the narrative spatial mechanism as a whole, rather than separate them. This is mainly because the internal narrative structure may not be separated. Llosa’s novels also pursuit the kind of integrity, and he often use two ways:first, making the time spatial and second, making the space as time. This kind of narrative integration forms a unique narrative spatiotemporal integrity.Llosa’s novels either in narrative time or in the narrative space reflects the author’s excellent writing skills and exquisite text arrangement, and each of his text has a perfect narrative spatiotemporal mechanisms of integrity. He finally won the Nobel Prize in literature, it is a reality to be.
