| Objective (1) To develop Work Stressor Scale for intermediate-level leader and examine the reliability and validity;(2) To investigate present situation of work stress and psychology health of intermediate-level leader and to explore the relationship between them.Mothods Through review of literature, questionnaire survey, interview and expert evaluation to establish the rating scale theoretical framework and item content, through item discrimination, exploratory fator analysis to study the scale structure. After the scale was formed,500intermediate-level leaders were recruited for the study. The reliability analysis included Cronbach’s a, split-half reliability. The validity analysis included content validity, construct validity, criterion validity. Results (1)6factors structure was identified by exploratory factor analysis, they were job responsibility, superior leaders, job nature, social relationship, family support and perfect tendency, explaining59.332%of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis comfirmed the conception;(2) The reliability test results:The scale Cronbach’s a value in the all scale was0.966, split-half reliability was0.926. The Cronbach’s a of6sub-scales were0.923ã€0.889ã€0.854ã€0.886ã€0.806ã€0.852;(3) Criterion-related validity test:There was a significant positive correlation between all sub-scales and SCL-90;(4) Difference studies showed that there was a significant difference in sex and education, and there was no differernce between Communists and not Communists;(5) Regression analysis results:superior leaders, job responsibility, family support and perfect tendency entered the regression equations(F=30.339, P<0.001, R2=48%).Conclusions (1) The Work Stressor Scale was developed;(2) The scale has good reliability and validity;(3) Difference studies showed that there was a significant difference in sex and education, and there was no differernce between Communists and not Communists;(4) Work stress can forecast psychology health in a certain degree. |
