| During the course of society development, we can find that universal values often significant advocacy and support self-control and restraint behavior, therefore, in some ways, self-regulatory capacity of individuals was recognized as the key to integrate into the community and the important factor to get successful. However, the differences of individuals’family environment, social environment, which has different influence on people, created the people’s general diversity of self-regulation.The phenomenon of self-regulation failure often occurs in people’s daily lives and work,so,we should doubt whether there are any theories to explain this phenomenon. American psychologist Baumeister, who proprosed model of ego-depletion to explain the failure of self-regulation in the production activities. The theory proposes that individuals need to call a finite energy in the energy pool when playing executive function and self-regulatory function. This energy will be depleted after the use of this energy in a short period of time, thereby the individuals will get the lower scores or worse performance in the follow-up self-regulation task.Current research on self-regulation covers a wide spectrum, but less involved the field of morality or ego-depletion of individual ethical behavior. In addition, few other factors was considered in interactive studies of self-regulation in the past. The impact of ego-depletion behavior may be affected and interacted with other factors that may appears special situation and results.Examination In this study, we choose college students as experiment subjects the use of dual-task paradigm to explore the influence of ego-depletion and commitment on cheating behavior in exam.We assumptted that ego-depletion would reduce the ability of individual self-control, then when a subject faced the feasible cheating chance in the exam, whether it would increase the probability of cheating behaviour? This is one of the concerning issues in Experiment one.In addition,we set the link of signing integrity commitment before exam, due to this method is popular in domestic for avoiding the examinee to cheat,so we investigated the effectiveness of the measures and the influence of commitment and ego-depletion acting on subject’s cheating behaviour in experiment one.Commitment in different way may produce different effect. In a basis of,through let subject choose independently whether commitment to induce the subject’s commitment,so as to investigate whether there are differences between voluntary commitment and unvoluntary commitment in experiment two?The results of this study:(1) ego-depletion effect also exists in the moral field. Ego-depletion have adverse effects on examination honesty. On the state of ego-depletion, the individual’s self-regulatory capacity is decreased, resulting in the marked increase of cheating in the exam.(2) On the state of ego-depletion, forced the undertaking signed can not be an effective wake-up was the moral consciousness and therefore can not significantly reduce the test cheating. Only in the test spontaneously assume their commitments and responsibilities, to some extent, eliminate the adverse effects of ego-depletion behavior in the exam.(3) Generally speaking, the ego-depletion can increase cheating, while the voluntary commitment can reduce cheating, but no interaction found between the two factors.Namely,ego-depletion and commitment separately impact on cheat in exam, voluntary commitment can overcome the adverse effects of ego-depletion virtually and reduce the subjects’cheating. |
