An Experimental Study Of Individual Emotional Memory In PTSD Symptoms Directed Forgetting

In recent years, the frequent-occurred disasters cased tremendous damage to human life, body and mind. Exposure to traumatic events individuals may suffer a great possibility of PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), while those painful memories are difficult to cleared from the brain, so take the initiative to forget the pain of emotional memory has been getting more and more attention to resolve the trauma memory may be an important value in the clinical treatment of mental illness caused by the traumatic experience.This study works on the7grade and8grade students in Wenchuan middle school twice, using the CPSS questionnaire for PTSD text. There are70subjects, who have good vision and never participate in similar experiment. Divided the subjects into two groups of high PTSD symptoms and low PTSD symptoms, and each group divided into two groups were given neutral stimuli and emotional stimuli, through the different indicator memories or forgotten picture, and then recalled all the pictures, that’s called directed forgetting effect experiment. There are following conclusions:1. Whatever the stimulus materials or the types of PTSD symptoms teams, the directed forgetting effect did happened.2. A different stimulus materials for the directed forgetting effect has a significant impact, the directed forgetting of emotional material effect was significantly higher than neutral material. 3. Different types of PTSD symptoms for the directed forgetting effect a significant impact, high PTSD symptoms in the directed forgetting effect was significantly higher than the low PTSD symptoms.4. The CPSS Scale PTSD score and the directed forgetting effect has a significant positive correlation, proactively identify high PTSD symptoms in the stage of memory processing to extract the suppression is greater than the defect to avoid the influence of directed forgetting effect.5. According to the directed forgetting effect and PTSD symptoms discretion group, draw a coefficient of4.32straight, but only6%data can be conform to article the fitting line. Directed forgetfulness and PTSD symptoms of the relationship between the high and low group and can’t simply use linear to explain, directional forgetfulness and PTSD symptoms discretion group in some extent, they are related, and influence each other, but it is not the only factor influence each other.
