Under two kinds ofpressure, Chinese animation must change the style. Whether copy the American and Japaneseanimation style or explore ways of traditional, still did not cast off the crisis of Chinese animationcreative decline. Chinese animation color application not only need have the aid of scientific conceptof color as a reference, to establish its own characteristics, it needs find out with Chinese traditionalcolor idea aspect.Color in the animation performance function design can vivid image more directly, depictingcharacters emotional and symbolic meaning. Chinese art broad and profound, we used its uniquecolor language to won world reputation. So, I choose to study our Chinese traditional coloranimation in the application of Chinese traditional colors, first of all because we are familiar withchinese tridional color but difficult to describe it. Secondly, as a foundation of creative cultural,Chinese traditional color view in the animation can easy to highlight the Chinese art and it’snationality.The purpose of this paper is to think through the study of Chinese traditional color viewfeatures, combined with the animation cases to Summed up the essence of Chinese animation colorand provide reference for animation how to maintain local characteristics on the basis ofinternationalized. Research methods mainly use the comparative method, inductive method,deductive reasoning and so on. Look from the structure, this article consists of five chapters and aconclusion, the first chapter is mainly about the research background、 main contents、 purpose、meaning and the prior literature, the second chapter mainly analyzes the Chinese traditional conceptof color features, third chapters focus on animation creation color category and function, the fourth chapter talk about traditional colors and Animation Association, fifth chapters is about Chinesetraditional color animation in the application, finally it is concluded the “imagery” is theoutstanding characteristic of the Chinese animation.
