The Application Of Traditional Elements In The Creation Of Chinese Contemporary Oil Paintings

Both in the2008Beijing Olympic Games and the2010Shanghai World Expo, the traditional Chinese elements seem to be essential to the performance. From the perspective of the ideological content and cultural implication, the article attempts to explore the form and spirit of traditional Chinese elements in-depth, and thus gives a correct interpretation of the traditional Chinese elements.The disappearance of the integration and the limits in various art forms and means is the international trend of the development of the arts. It is obvious that traditional Chinese painting and modern painting have integrated and influenced each other in the ways of means, taste and form. Fragmentation, collage, misappropriation and intertextuality are the characteristics of post-modern creation.They seem very mysterious in theory, while have become a common occurrence in contemporary painting,which demonstrates that the disappearance of the integration and the limits in various art forms and means is both inevitable and necessary. Whether in economic, political, or in the field of culture, modernity is (?) the west, how to face the wave of modernization and postmodernization and make the painting more localised is the subject that’s need to be taken seriously.Modernity or non-modernity is not evaluation standards of the art, while the connection between the art and the modern Chinese people is the lifeblood of the contemporary Chinese painting.On one hand, in the field of Chinese contemporary oil paintings, many artists used traditional Chinese elements and created many excellent works; On the other hand, many artificial, vulgar works of art have been produced with the application of traditional Chinese elements. As a result, some so-called "nationalization" of works of art taste execrable,absurd both in the quality and performance. This article will give the analysis of the reasons for this phenomenon.We hope that in the process of modernization of the art, we will not discard the traditional culture but understand the essence of Chinese traditional art. Therefore, the interpretation of contemporary art with traditional Chinese elements in the context of globalization have considerable practical significance.
