Study On Traditional Chinese Soft Decorative Textile In The Room Space

Interior soft decorative textile of fabrics materials, in China since ancient times, has very important practical and decorative functions in the traditional room space. Especially in the late Chinese feudal society, Ming and Qing dynasty, it’s the time of combination of traditional culture and art design. Based on mature craft for interior decoration system and with the development of wooden furniture, soft decorative textile has been used widely, also formed an unique national style. In terms of the space which soft decorative textile covered and is used, it’s only second to the furniture. Soft decorative textile has large categories, including veiling screen, door and window screen, table cover, chair cushions, bed ruffle and carpet, bedding mattress, soft pillow and other bedding adornment fabrics. This provides the theoretical support for the study of Chinese traditional interior decoration and the modern application of traditional soft decorative textile in the room space.
