Based on the basic theory of listening comprehension and languageassessment, analyzes one of the listening tests of intermediate stage, reveals the mainconstituent elements that cause the difficulty of the listening. This paper is dividedinto four chapters.The first chapter describes the reasons, objectives and the basic theories of theresearch, analyzes the related studies at home and abroad on the influential factors oflistening comprehension, and introduces the main issue and method the research.The second chapter analyzes the papers of listening test, including the analysisof performance and quality, and the main language factors examined in the test.According to the statistics of the results, combined with the main language factorsexamined in the test and the reasons that cause the mistakes of the listeningcomprehension to analyze the answers of the students, then focus on the analysis ofthe questions with higher degree of difficulty to find the constituent elements thatcause the difficulty of the listening, provides a new method to research the constituentelements of listening difficulty.The third chapter proposes the teaching strategies according to the constituentelements of the student’s listening difficulties, gives suggestions to the listeningteaching of the intermediate stage by the results of the questionnaire, and finallyaccording to the schema theory to provide a method on teaching listening, as areference for the listening teaching of the intermediate stage.The forth chapter draws a conclusion and points out the further research.
