Chinese Avant-Garde, which was born in the1980s, is an art movement, creating anunprecedented cultural landscape of Chinese art history in the twenties century and even thewhole Chinese art history. When Chinese culture is fitting in the global modern culture,Chinese Avant-Garde has to seek its historical position in the social history transformation ofmodern-tradition times and Western-China society. In this sense, the problem of ChineseAvant-Garde is in relation to not only the art itself but also the situation of Chinese culture inthe modern context. Specifically, Chinese Avant-Garde triggers human autognosis, includingrefuting the intervention of political consciousness, introspecting traditional art and learningor resisting western art, which all come from the strong sense of culture crises in the moderntimes and under the stress of western culture.Based on the "historic" cause above, the firstChinese avant-garde problem is "how to be possible and is possible". The article analyses andstudies the genesis mechanism of Chinese Avant-Garde from the perspective of dynamic“history-genesis theory”. A comparison of the article between Chinese and Western differentsocial cultural context of modernity situation discusses the Chinese Avant-Garde "China"problem, it is Chinese Avant-Garde of the germinal intrinsic logic. Then it reveals the Chinesetraditional element is the concept of Avant-Garde in China modern evolution of culture, andshows the relationship of heaven, human and heaven and man in the Chinese Avant-Garde after thetransformation. And this is the demonstration and deepening of the first part. Lastly, it clarifies thatChinese Avant-Garde, as the integrating culture judgment of modern progression of globalculture, has significant cultural value in terms of social criticism and enlightenment meaningin terms of the awakening of subject, which leads Chinese Avant-Garde to show thebidirectional historical characteristics--cultural retrospection and cultural interaction in theartistic consciousness movement.
