Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann were named as The Master of Western Romanticism Music in19Century. Franz Schubert got a high reputation with "The King of Songs", his Piano opus which express his excellent music talent was important in all of his produces, it loved and respected by descendants. Robert Schumann was a representative musician of romantic. In his first half life, Piano was his priority music, he got a great passion in his music creating. Both of them made a lot of selected product which have high reputation.<Impromptu>D.935and <Fantasiestucke> OP.12that were mainly discussed in this thesis were the representative opus of Schubert and Schumann, indeed<Impromptu> D.935and <Fantasiestucke>OP.12were very important literature in piano music history.<Impromptu>D.935represented Franz Schubert’s innovation in Romanticism Music. It made a deeper investigation based on classicism.<Fantasiestucke’>,OP.12represented Robert Schumann’s unique and mature romantic music language, which have strong Characters.Thesis will investigate the differences between the two masters base on their opuses, include their difference in styles, skills, and performances. In this way, we can easily found the relativity and difference of their music. It represented the different and relativities in different developing stage of music history.
