The Semantic Net Of Chapter Research On "YOU CAI HUA KAI"

This code “YOU CAI HUA” appears many times in Ai Wei’s short novel “YOU CAIHUA KAI”, it is endowed with many metaphorical function by the writer. As a closed system,we use the commutation test of glossematics to extract some related elements to get the basicunit of deriving semantic relation. According to the Opposition-Complementary principle, weanalyze the relationships between these elements to reveal the formation of the chapter’spolysemic structures. Use the paradigmatic and syntagmatic principles to analyze thesemantic grid of the chapter. In terms of the syntagmatic relation, we can get the chapter’sdeep structure regularity by the order of the five stories which are constituted the chapter; interms of the paradigmatic relation, we can get the imports by the time, space, character andevent category. This Structure-Deconstruction-Reconstructed method can help us to hold theimports and reveal the semantic system by the narrative discourse of the chapter.
