Using the SCL-90,417different groups of Qinghai college students has carried on the questionnaire survey and objective evaluation about mental health status. According to the factor score of SCL-90, a detailed comparison has made by boys and girls, locals and outsiders, towns and villages/pastoral areas, the Han people and ethnic minorities, Biological and Geography Profession,18-19and20-25years of age, the freshman to the senior. What’s more, the factor scores of SCL-90also shown the level of mental health status among these different groups. So all in all, the main results are as follows:(1) there is no significant difference between boys and girls of the level of mental health in college students;(2) the level of mental health of college students from Qinghai is lower than the college students of foreign nationality;(3) the level of mental health of urban students is higher than rural or pastoral area college students;(4) Hans students’mental health is better than minority college students;(5) the level of mental health of the biological is higher than geographic professional students;(6) the level of mental health of18-19years college students is below20-25years;(7) the level of mental health of the freshman is below the senior.Consulted the National normal human norm, the new norm for the old norm, the National University of National Undergraduate and compared with the universities of Qinghai Mental Health among417college students in colleges, the results show that: Qinghai University Students in the mental health factor mean scores are higher than others. In other words, the level of mental health of college students is low.Therefore, it’s necessary to propose rationalization proposals and feasibility countermeasures for Qinghai College Students’ Mental health status and existing problems. This essay is intended to give suggestions and strategies in two perspectives of the mental health among general and specific college students.
