In recent years, with the ever-rising of the international standing and influenceof China and the popularity of Chinese, more and more foreigners had began to learnChinese. Nowadays great importance has been attached to the Chinese teaching ineach teaching session so more and more Spanish children began to study Chinesefrom childhood. What’s more, many schools are members of the InternationalBaccalaureate Organization (IBO), also named as Fully-Fledged InternationalizedEducation for All-Round Development which advocates internationalism,comprehension and respect the different cultures, fosters the students be person withthe sense of lifelong learning, all-round development and social responsibility. Inregard of Chinese teaching, many Chinese teachers working in the IB school don’trealize this and the educational concept isn’t embodied during the teaching process.Depending on this situation, this paper analyzes the educational concept andeducational pattern of IB PYP. This paper is mainly focused on two teachingmethods(inquiry teaching and interdisciplinary thematic units teaching) and recitesthe methods and procedures with the application of these two method in the Chineseteaching.Based on the practice, this paper also describes the detailed methods of theapplication of inquiry teaching and proposes solutions on the basis of introspectionabout the difficulties in the interdisciplinary thematic units teaching. Hope that thispaper will provide practical reference for the Chinese teachers in IB schools in thefuture.
