| In order to explore the color aesthetic culture of Chinese ancient artifacts,this paper chose the Han Dynasty’s container lacquer as the project of this study.Combining with linguistics, aesthetics and technology, we studied the color aestheticculture of the Han Dynasty’s container lacquer by reviewing a large number of relevantliterature and images of unearthed artifacts.Firstly, we made a brief overview of the dominant aesthetic ideas in the HanDynasty. Secondly, the Han Dynasty lacquer-color production process was discussedin aspects of production organization and management, color painting and decorativetechniques. The relationship between the use and the production of the Han Dynastylacquer-color was also discussed. Based on the images and written records of theunearthed Han Dynasty container lacquer, we also analyzed the characteristics andspecific principles of color application of the Han Dynasty container lacquers inthe following aspects: comparison and coordination, rhythm and cadence, and unityand change. Then, we focused on the main color of the Han Dynasty container lacquerand made an in-depth analysis on its performance and aesthetic characteristics.Furthermore, we made an explorative analysis on the reasons why red and black werethe predominant colors in Han dynasty, combining with the ancient Chinese, the lacquertechnology, the social and cultural background of the Han Dynasty. We also made adetailed analysis on the typical color-type-black outside and red inside in theaspects of historical origin and development, lacquer type and color performance,and the underlying causes. Finally, we discussed the important influence of the coloraesthetic culture of the Han Dynasty’s container lacquer on modern design by someexamples. |
