The Vocabulary Study About The Supernatural Section Of Tai Ping Guang Ji

Tai Ping Guang Ji as one of the four major collections in SongDynasty, which is laced with classical and voluminous allusions, thatinvolves rich and more colorful words. The current research focus on theversion or the culture content, and the vocabulary study is less and notsystematic. So the thesis selects the largest content and the biggestProportion from the book of Tai Ping Guang Ji as a research object. Thispart mainly conducted a systematic and multi-faceted study from severalaspects, such as: the variant words, the synonyms and the characteristicwords. So there are five parts in the article. The first part is theProlegomenon. This chapter gives a brief description about the author andthe current situation of the Tai Ping Guang Ji. It also briefly describesabout the reasons for selecting this subject, the research objectives and soon. The second part of the thesis tries to make comprehensive andparticular analysis to the immortal section of the Tai Ping Guang Ji. Themain difference include not only in the forms but also in the content. What is more, the omissions of the words are also a form of differenttexts. Accordingly, it shows a basic outlook of vocabulary and thelanguage feature of Tai Ping Guang Ji. The third part exhaustivelycollates and summarizes the synonyms in the immortal section of the TaiPing Guang Ji, then clustered them into164groups in accordance withnouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. On this basis, with the statistics toget a glimpse of the language features of the book of Tai Ping Guang Ji,and try to explain the reasons. This chapter also selects8groups ofcommonly used words to carefully analyze their differences anddiachronic development. The fourth part is the classification describingabout the characteristic words of the immortal. This chapter mainlydescribed the dwelling place, diet, attire, traffic tools of the gods, and thepersonality characteristics about them. The fifth part tries to explainwords in the immortal section of the book of Tai Ping Guang Ji, Itincludes the words that were not collected or the interpretation wasmistaken or ill-conceived in the Chinese Dictionary.
