The Chinese-Mongolian dictionary has a long history. The earliest Chinese-Mongolian dictionary was written in13th century. From past to now, the Chinese-Mongolian dictionary has always been an important communication tool between Chinese and Mongolian language. But the translation study about Chinese-Mongolian dictionary is very few. This essay is mainly discussing translation studies about Chinese-Mongolian dictionary from four aspects. First, introduce the history of Chinese-Mongolian dictionaries from the ancient time. And illustrate the features of Chinese-Mongolian dictionary. Second, analyze the differences between the linguistic Chinese-Mongolian dictionary and non-linguistic Chinese-Mongolian dictionary. On this basis, focus on discussing the word meaning equivalence of linguistic Chinese-Mongolian dictionary Chinese-Mongolian dictionary in translation. Third, compare the word translation of ancient and modern Chinese-Mongolian dictionary, and analyze the evolution of word meaning of Chinese-Mongolian dictionary from two aspects. Fourth, take Nida’s "functional equivalence" and Komissarow’s "translation criteria" as an example to analyze the practical significance of modern translation theory in the translation of Chinese-Mongolian dictionary. And make a suggestion that translators can explore a translation theory of Chinese-Mongolian dictionary.’...
