The Chinese Translation Of English Adverbial Clauses

Based on the textbook-A Practical Course of Business English, via the Chinese translation of the textbook by the author, the thesis studies the Chinese-translation of English adverbial clauses. In the paper, the author first analyzes the feature, function and classification of the English adverbial clauses. According to the statistics of the adverbial clauses, the author emphasizes on the following three kinds of adverbial clauses:the Adverbial Clause of Time, the Adverbial Clause of Condition, the Adverbial Clause of Cause.In the process of the translation, the author concludes the methods of Chinese-translation of English adverbial clauses:the change of a sentence order, conversion method, reorganization method, aiming at conveying the thought of English adverbial clauses better based on the researches of some specific translation methods and translation practice.
