Books are the valuable resource for studies on the history of Chinese phonetics, found the actual phonetic features from books is one of the important methods for the study of Chinese history.We selected the book Yuntong (《韻通》) which reflected the Jianghuai Mandarin as the research object, using the method of literature study from Chinese history, combined with the modern dialect of "Rhyme", sorting through the sound system, we can discover ra comprehensive understanding of the early seventeenth Century Jianghuai Mandarin.Research in the text at the same time, comparie Yuntong (《韻通》) and Yunfa Zhi tu (《韻法直圖》), to determine the inheritance relationship between two books and Yuntong (《韻通》) in phonology through history.The thesis is composed of more than30000words, is divided into six parts:Study on the object of study, the first chapter introduces the present situation, the research significance and method.The second chapter mainly inspects the initial consonant system of Yuntong(《韻通》) and the initial tone system of Yuntong (《韻通》), referring to the books in the same period and the modern dialect., referring to the books in the same period and the modern dialectThe third chapter mainly inspects the vowel system through Yuntong (《韻通》),referring to the books in the same period and the modern dialect,and points out the improper research before.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the initial consonant system of Yuntong(《韻通》), referring to books and modern dialect for it, and points out the phonology phenomenon.
