Study On The Fuzzy Phenomena Of Language In The Foreign Ministry News Conference Answering Reporters’ Questions

The fuzziness is one of the important properties of the natural language; the fuzzy phenomena exist in all aspects of language. Language as an important tool of diplomatic activity, with its flexibility and richness has played a pivotal role in fuzzy application of the language, which is one of the methods of diplomatic strategies.This paper tries to describe and analyze the fuzzy phenomenon objectively in the selected119press conferences of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. On one hand, we try to classify the fuzzy phenomena linguistically, including term and sentence levels; on the other hand, we try to analyze the methods used by these fuzzy strategies from the point of pragmatics, including four levels of vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric and context. About research methods, this paper focuses on the pursuit of the dynamic study on the fuzzy strategies; pay more attention to the penetration of disciplines and comprehensive research. I hope this paper firstly can make you scholars of vague language get further reflection in the form and function of the vague language, secondly inspire better understanding of the skills and strategies used by the Foreign Ministry spokesmen, learning fun and flexibility in the verbal communications.
