The article was about the structural mode of event metaphor, describing and analyzing it from the deep structure and the surface structure. In addition to that, the article studied the decomposition of event metaphor in morphology, semantics and pragmatics of artistic genre and broadcast and TV genre.At present, research on the event metaphor is rare, especially on the structure and style decomposition. The article discussed the event metaphor through the quantitative analysis of collected linguistic data. The frame was as follows:The first section indicated the significance and the objective of the research, presenting all the achievements on metaphor and style, and clarified the definition of research object and the origin of linguistic data.The second section probed into the deep and surface structure of event metaphor, describing the deep logical structure in the three types of event metaphor based on the analysis of linguistic data, and paid attention to the transformation from deep structure to the surface one, so as to discuss the multiformity of the surface structure in the event metaphor.The third section inspected the event metaphor in artistic genre and broadcast and TV genre from morphology, semantics and pragmatics respectively, mainly concerning to the distribution density difference in the two style and their inferior style, the distribution of the three types of the event metaphor in the style, and the service condition of event metaphor and object metaphor in the two style as well as probing the reason of style decomposition and rhetorical function of event metaphor in the two style. In the end, the article put forward that the diversity of event metaphor in morphology, semantics and pragmatics was formed under the effect of speech intention and communicative function.
