It is goodenough to serve as a model for appreciation of the beauty. It is one of the inspirationsource of modern design, fashion design and product design. Meanwhile, It has a hugeimpact in the design, process and consumption of China’s modern cheongsam anddress. Today, the symbol characteristics, culture and art value of cheongsam, whichcould be used into all kinds of modern products has gradually be international anddomestic designers concern. They interpret the theme style and cultural connotation ofthem to improve the thematic, cultural connotation and artistic value of the product.However, the research on using the modern design method to destruct, restrict andinnovate the visual symbol of the Royal Cheongsam in general semiotics, thenintegrated them into a thematic silk pattern are rarely seen reports.This paper discusses about the cheongsam-thematic scarves pattern design withthe theoretical point of semiotics as a guide. Based on the study of thematic silkpattern design in the literature [1], how to combine semiotics theory withcheongsam-thematic scarves pattern in order to design high-end silk products whichhave certain market and the value to the collection of high-end silk products.Therefore, in this paper, this paper discusses the process, combined with domestic andforeign outstanding silk pattern design case, and use the thinking mode ofinterdisciplinary and diversified creative design method. First this paper the conceptof theory, genre and extended to art and design field based on the part, and grasp thesemiotics theory essence and then dress symbol in the application of all kinds ofdesign condition. Then the Chinese traditional culture has special aesthetic valueCheongsam dress for object by sign reading, dig the Qing dynasty and the republic ofChina, modern three typical period of cheongsam in semiotics sense of visuallanguage, character shape character meaning characteristics. At last, through thetheme of silk pattern design method of combing summary, the use of deconstructionand reconstruction of modern design method, will the Chinese dress visual symbol elements integrated into unique designer performance style theme scarves pattern.From the Angle of semiotics and analyzed in this paper and silk to enhance thecultural art value, make scarves in dress collocation, ornamental function with thebasis of satisfy people’s spiritual needs, for silk scarves creative design provides anew train of thought.
