With the deepening of petroleum exploration and development, more and more attention is paid to the low porosity and permeability compacted sand reservoir. Due to the special deposition, diagenesis and tectonic conditions, compacted sandstone reservoir is seldom become effective reservoir because of the dense lithology, extremely low porosity and permeability. However, fracture improve the quality of compacted sandstone reservoir which make compacted sandstone reservoirs a kind of reservoir can not be ignored. So, In the evaluation of compacted sandstone reservoir, the essential is to evaluate the effectiveness of cracks. This paper, viewing the two local structures Dabei&Keshen in Kelasu tectonic zone of Kuqua Depression of Tarim basin as the research area and Klbs for the target, analysis the effectiveness of the crack in the compacted sandstone reservoir. The main work is as follows:From the characteristics of compacted sandstone reservoir and with geological, logging, testing, core analysis data as a foundation, analyzed reservoir geologic features of the research area.Analysis the logging principles of new logging technique dipole transverse wave imaging, electricity imaging and the calculation method of fracture parameters and sound waves parameters, make full use of the imaging logging data, core analysis data and conventional log data on crack recognizing.Respectively from the reservoir structure, sedimentation and internal features to analysis the influence factors of the reservoir fracture, and summarizes the development characteristics and law of compacted sandstone reservoir fracture. On the basis of above work, combined with the gas testing data, using ground stress matching method, electric imaging, acoustic imaging, sound electric contrast imaging respectively qualitative and quantitative analysis the effectiveness of the crack in compacted sandstone reservoir.
